Gratitude

You must have freaked out when I cried huh? The surprise on your face was even more obvious when I told you that I had planned to come here to cry all along.

I'm sorry, I should have told you my plan before I came. But I was so depressed that I never gave anything else a second thought. I wanted to confide in you, and I came straight without thinking twice. I never even considered that crying in front of you would scare you or thought of what you would think of me seeing me in this state.

I'm just so tired, and preoccupied with this thought which blurs my vision. This realization has really hit me right in my face, I mean, really, how could I not have seen it coming? I felt like a scared little girl, with no where to turn to, and no one to cry to.

Then I thought of you, the one person who is always kind enough to bear with me. Thank you, JJ. Thank you for the words of comfort, for the prayer, and for letting me thrashed your place and invading your privacy. Thank you for letting me cry all I want, and yet knowing you wouldn't judge me for that.

Thank you. And above all, I thank God for this privilege of having you as a friend.

从小，我们就被教导说诚实是一种美德，不可口是心非，是就要说是，不是就说不是。
可是长大了的我们，是否渐渐忘了这一点？

心里喜欢，嘴里却不承认。
心在战抖，表面却若无其事。
心在流泪，嘴角却已微微上扬。
心不愿意，头却已不由自主地点了一下。

心里渴望着一个拥抱，一个依靠的肩膀，
但是头脑却像刺猬一样保护着自己的心，
不让人靠近，不让人进来。

只因我怕。

我怕我太透明，人会看见我的伤痕。
我怕我太透明，人会看见我的脆弱。

或许我们并没有忘记诚实是什么，

婚姻也会中风

一男子患了中风，左边的身子不能动了，心里十分痛苦。 亲友们去安慰他。他说，我不害怕我的病治不好，
我担心我的妻子留不住。
没过多久，他的妻子果然离开了他。
亲友们骂那位女人薄情。
男子说，不要责备她，是我不好。
接着，他忏悔道：
她做饭忙不过来的时候，我坐在电视前无动于衷；
她生病需要去医院的时候，我以工作忙让她一人前往；
她买了件衣服，满心欢喜地问我怎麽样时，
我的眼睛甚至都不瞟上一瞟；她需要我陪伴的时候，
我为了赢得上司的青睐，在办公室陪他们打扑克直至深夜。
她生日到来的时候，如果没有她的提醒，我总是到第二天才勐然想起。
我们的婚姻早就因为我的这些行为而中风，只是我原来没有感觉到。
现在 我左边的身子不能动了，我一下子感觉到了。

后来，有人把这些话说给了男人的妻子，
男人的妻子非常感动。既然他这麽说，我也就回去吧。
在女人的精心照料下，男人渐渐康复。
有一次，他们一起在黄昏中散步，女人问，
怎麽会想起婚姻也会中风这样的事来？
男人说，当我的右手因蚊子叮咬而奇痒的时候，
我的左手一点反应都没有，假若我没有中风，会出现这样的情况吗？
过去，你那麽辛苦，而我却一点都不去分担，
我想，这就是婚姻中风了。
现在，他们已成为一对恩爱夫妻，因为通过那场病，
男人发现了一套新的婚姻理论：夫妻应该像左右手一样。
左手提东西累了，不用开口，右手就会接过来，
右手受了伤，也不用着呼喊和请求，左手就会 伸过去。
假如一个人的左手很痒，右手却伸不过来，
这个人的身体一定是中风了，或是瘫痪了。
婚姻爱情的身躯，假若一方不能主动地去关怀对方，
久而久之，随着不良状况的加剧，也会中风瘫痪。

Songs of Praise

I will praise you, O Lord.

The Wonderful Counselor

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.

Equipped

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?' And I said, 'Here am I. Send me!'

Has God called you to a task for which you feel completely inadequate? The key to taking on the extraordinary challenge is to worship God, to spend time in His presence meditating on just how awesome He is. When we praise God's holiness and majesty, when we focus on His strength and wisdom, then we are assured of the courage and vigor He makes available to us - the power to go one more mile, to endure one more day, to love one more hour, to forgive one more time. Like Isaiah, we can face these hard assignments with confidence that if God has called us, He will equip us.

God is the strength of my heart

So often, only in weaknesses do we reach out to God, and only as we reach out to God do we find the strength He always intended for us, the strength for whatever comes next.

Unyielding Love.

Place me like a seal over your heart,
like a seal on your arm;
For love is as strong as death,
Its jealousy unyielding as the grave.
It burns like blazing fire,
Like a mighty flame.

God is love - even our desire for love points to him as the source of all love. God doesnt love us at a distance or remember us as an afterthought. He doesnt put condition on His love. He loves us in more ways than we can ever know because He knows us through and through. He loves us with the strongest love imaginable - a love that is as strong as death. In fact, He proved His love through Christ's sacrifice on the cross. This ultimate gift showed us that His love for us was, in fact, a love worth dying for.

Why were the old days better?

Do not say, "Why were the old days better than these?" For it is not wise to ask such question... When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other.

It's easy to think the past was better than today. Most of us have selective memories. We only remember what we want to remember. However, when we look at the past through rose-coloured glasses, we run the risk of being ungrateful for what we have right now.

Our days, months and years are made up of both good times and bad. The tapestry of life's events makes up the very essence of who we are. Thank God for all the wonderful memories. Take the difficult things to God in prayer. Ask him what he wants us to learn from the present situation. God doesn't waste any of our experiences. He can use the good days, as well as the not-so-great days, to benefit us, if we let him. (:

The key is to remember things as they really were, to be content with things as they really are and to trust God to take care of the future.

Why worry? (:

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
